Service Technician (m/f/d) – Internal and Field Service

ERL Automation GmbH develops, designs, and manufactures erlcut gantry cutting systems for oxy-fuel and plasma cutting, as well as BIBER robotic cutting systems for automated weld seam preparation. In addition, we build robotic welding systems. The company is part of the ERL Group, the welding and cutting technology center in Bavaria and Saxony. Besides ERL Automation GmbH, the group includes ERL GmbH (welding technology systems distributor) and MIGAL.CO GmbH, a manufacturer of aluminum and copper welding consumables.

Your tasks

• Assemble and commission gantry and robotic cutting systems at the ERL facility (Landau an der Isar) and at customer sites.
• Perform annual maintenance on our systems at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Carry out functional and safety inspections and document all work performed.
• Provide technical customer support and work closely with the project management and internal sales teams.

Your profile

• Completed vocational training as an electrical technician, industrial electrician, electronics technician for industrial engineering, electronics technician for operating technology, or a comparable qualification in electrical engineering.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is required.
• Willingness to travel (approximately 50%) within Germany and neighboring countries.
• Valid Class B driver's license.
• Independent, reliable, and customer-oriented working style.
• Experience with PLC programming and control systems (Beckhoff TwinCAT, CODESYS, Siemens S7) is an advantage.
