A new interface has been created for the BIBER robot cutting system that makes it possible to control the hall lighting with the cutting robot. In this way, the lamps located directly above the system are automatically adjusted to the current processing step of the robot.
Before the cutting process starts, for example, the component position must be determined and the components measured in order to be able to compensate for deviations from previous processes. The position of the components can be captured with the help of the intelliplace camera system, which scans the entire table layout. In this process, good lighting conditions are essential for precise results. In the next step, however, the component measurement by laser scanner, the incidence of light may impair the laser and thus the measurement results. With intellilight, the automatic control of the lighting by the BIBER, the lighting conditions are optimized for each production step of the robot, resulting in a continuously high cutting quality - without the operator having to intervene.
