Last week, an 8th grade class from the Viktor-Karell-Realschule visited the Erl Group in Landau to spend a morning looking behind the scenes of the specialist for welding and cutting technology.
CEO Martin Erl warmly welcomed the nearly 30 students and their teacher Lukas Geißler and briefly introduced them to the Erl Group. The class was then divided into four groups, and they were shown various company departments taking turns.
The young people were given an insight into the product range and everyday working life. At ERL Automation GmbH, for example, they learned about the BIBER cutting robot, which is used for beveling components. They were also able to experience the erlcut portal system live in action during a cutting demonstration and then inspect finished cut components. At MIGAL.CO GmbH, where aluminum welding wire is manufactured, the students were given a tour of production and were also allowed to take a look at the in-house laboratory where quality monitoring takes place.
The girls and boys listened carefully, asked many interesting questions and possibly some could also be inspired for a technical field of work. In addition to that, various relevant apprenticeship professions were also presented.
Before Martin Erl said goodbye to the class, the students enjoyed some refreshments. Mr. Geißler thanked them for the exciting insights and the informative morning and then headed back with his students.
