Nesting software

Almacam Cut supports the user in every step of programming, but can also be used as a fully automated solution. In addition, time savings result from the kits management (kits are nestings or partial nestings), which makes it possible to reuse previously optimized programs. The software also allows technical properties to be assigned to contours so that, for example, approach flags and chamfers do not have to be entered again each time the geometry is used.

Almacam Cut uses unique nesting algorithms that take into account all cutting conditions and significantly reduce material consumption. Thanks to the automatic nesting processes with different possible strategies, waste rates can be significantly reduced. In addition, the programme impresses with its optimal consideration of remnant sheets and leftover pieces of any shape.

The software has various automatic and semi-automatic functions to reduce the thermal deformation of the sheets. Examples are the cutting of the parts in several steps or special sequences that distribute heat exposure on the sheet. Also the automatic first cut (position, type, length and angle) based on the material and thickness with automatic correction of incorrect first cuts ensures a high level of quality.

For an easier sorting of the parts during parts removal, nesting based on priority groups is possible. Other useful functions are the skeleton cut for an easier removal of the remnants or the use of micro-bars to fix certain inner contours and to avoid deformation during the transport of the parts.

Almacam Cut controls all processes that can be combined with flame cutting or plasma cutting, such as marking units or drilling systems. It is also possible to control programmable bevel cutting heads with the software and to prepare the programmes automatically. It takes over calculation of the cutting sequence and the cutting allowance as well as the automatic configuration of the corner loops, but also the calculation of the outer contour over all chamfers to take into account the maximum expansion of the part in the nesting.s.

A specially developed converter enables programs of all common nesting systems to be converted. This means that existing cutting programmes can be used on the erlcut without any problems.

The module sign allows logos, graphics and fonts to be prepared quickly and easily and to be used to create a dxf file or to be used directly in Almacam. Numerous graphic formats can be converted. In addition, an optimisation function is available to improve the quality of the contours to be cut.

The extension act/shapes is a shapes library developed for boiler making which allows to both generate basic shapes and customize existing shapes in order to create shapes of your own. It offers a wide range of choices, such as selecting the opening angle, selecting the intersection type, selecting the number of elements and allows a part to be dynamically visualized in 3D before it is processed.

This Almacam module gives machine operators the ability to specify the start and end of the cutting process for each sheet to be cut on their machines.
To determine the order of the sheets to be cut, the machine operators each have access to the NC programme to be used, the associated specification, the estimated cycle time and the production data of the individual parts. Provided that the workshop supervisor has planned the sheets to be cut with the Scheduler, they also receive the planning of the programmes that need to be started, including the scheduled start times for the cutting process.
The Workshop Seat ensures complete traceability of the parts produced. The utilisation of all cutting machines at a production site is visualised and planned in calendar form. In this way, it is possible to regulate the utilisation of the machine park in the best possible way and optimise production.

The extension unfold forms an interface between design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) of sheet metal parts. The special module is particularly suitable for suppliers of sheet metal parts who do not have CAD software to import 3D models of parts or to correct faulty parts so that they can be manufactured.

Almaquote enables the creation of simple and complex offers through an intuitive graphical user interface. The software is aimed at suppliers of sheet metal parts who need to respond very quickly to price requests and at manufacturers who are looking for individual functions or customised applications.
