Soundproofing solutions
To protect employees from unnecessary noise pollution, our erlcut cutting systems are available with a soundproof housing on request. In the silent version, the erlcut is completely surrounded by the soundproof cabin. For optimum insulation, the cabin has a wall thickness of 100 mm and is covered on the inside with a galvanised, perforated, drawn special acoustic hole sheet.
The sound pressure level to which the operating personnel are exposed outside the cabin is more than 30 db(A) lower than it would be without the enclosure of the cutting system. As a result, the permitted trigger threshold is not reached and the system operators can work comfortably.
Noise pollution at workplace
Noise-induced hearing loss is the most common recognised occupational disease in Germany. Noise emissions of up to 110 db(A) can also occur during plasma cutting due to the high energy density and flow speeds, depending on the cutting task. These are far above the permitted trigger threshold of 80 dB(A), at which hearing protection measures must be taken according to occupational health and safety regulations.
Highlights erlcut-silent
- Sound reduction > 30 db(A)
- Can be combined with various table solutions
- In combination with shuttle table fully automatic system
Efficient system concept
To meet different customer requirements, various options are available for loading and unloading the system. With the manual sliding door system, for example, the cutting table can be loaded in the cabin by a crane or forklift. For maximum productivity, an automatic shuttle table system can be installed.
